The Return of Ron Rudat
We are pleased to announce the return of the Special Guest Ron Rudat to the Kentuckiana GI Joe Toy Expo.
Ron began working for Hasbro in 1971, but it was 1980 when he and a very small group were responsible for the rebirth of
GI Joe. Ron was charged with designing the new 3 and ¾” Joes and he produced every figure from 1982 through 1987. Possibly his most recognizable contribution is the symbol for GI Joe’s nemesis: Cobra. Ron created over 120 characters during that time as well as several vehicles and logos.
Ron also worked on the 12 in GI Joe line during his time at Hasbro including drawing the comic for the Fantastic Sea Wolf Adventure and designing the Adventure Team Wind Boat.

We are pleased that once again, Cindy Scott will be displaying her amazing collection of customized 12-inch GI Joe figures. You will see all eras of military and pop culture represented in her display. She will even have a custom diorama or two on display as well. Cobra Transport Plane by Christopher George
This incredible, one-of-a-kind custom made 1:18 scale Cobra Transport Plane will be on display at the show. This work of art is 100% custom made by Christopher George. Christopher was at the past few shows with several examples of his custom made 1:18 scale vehicles, and he continues to top himself each year. Check out the preliminary photos below.
